I'm a wife to Thomas and mother of 3 gorgeously crazy kids Kaylah 6, Hayden 5 & Izaac 3.
I've always wanted to be the one to decorate my kids birthday cakes. It was exciting to find the design and to try and make it into something my children would love and remember forever.
*no matter how frustrated I got or late I stayed up the night before the party trying to wrangle butter icing*
After all that, only recently have I been really wanting to expand my knowledge and have really found a passion for cake & cupcake decorating.
This happened when I went to the shops one day and there had opened up a new cake store opened - I had been amazed at all the different products but had been put off at that stage due to time and the prices.
My passion grew again when I went to my cousins sons birthday party and she had used fondant on her whole cake ~ WHAT! I had never heard of such a thing and had only been decorating parts of my cakes with little bits of marzipan ~ which i had to warn people not to eat due to the horrible taste - bluck!
Last year is when i let my passion take it's first turn into more of a professional look of decorating ~ which was Kaylah's 6th Birthday Party.
I've also been excited about decorating kids birthday parties and making the house transform into something beautiful. The ideas that flow as I constantly think about weeks and months leading up to the actual event is exciting and thrilling ~ and even more so when it comes into place.
So here is my journey into the amazing world of Cake & Cupcake decorating with a little bit of the transformation of the home for a party.
