My 1st Customer!!!

To be honest I was very excited and nervous about making these cupcakes for Julia.  It was her birthday and she requested " I'd love them to have more of a mix of pics of roller-skates, helmets, etc even some polkadot ones rather than teams, general roller derby if you get what I mean. My favorite colours together are red white and Donna hay blue. We need them for the 23rd of July. Red velvet flavoured."

So here is what I came up with

photo by Julia at POP Photography.  *make sure you check out her gorgeous photos*  This girl has talent!
this is what she said about them:-

Time for another favourite thing! This week comes in two parts, brought together by a very talented little lady! I LOVE cupcakes, especially if they are red velvet, so much so that this was very close to being "Red Velvet Photography" instead of POP. I also have a huge fondness for ROLLER DERBY. I am addicted to the sport! For my birthday I enlisted the likes of Made by Me - Especially for You to make my birthday cake. She made the most amazing Red Velvet cupcakes in the theme of Derby just for me :) They were adorable and tasted like heaven!

I was absolutely stoked that she loved them as much as I did!

It's my mum's birthday today!!!

My sister Kristel had a great idea that I should make little figurines - one of mum and all her grandkids.

Nan's 80th Birthday Party

My Gorgeous nan is 80!  My aunty, cousin and I organised the party - food, decorations, made everything. I had a great time!  It was such a busy weekend - with visiting the temple on Saturday morning, then off to Max Brenners (girls only) then Tomo and I had a wedding at the Sunshine coast, then Sunday morning included Church, covering the cake, prepping the rest of the food and the finally the actual party!

I had a few troubles with the flower on top as this was my first time but thanks to persistence and youtube I worked it out and was over the moon with the results.

I couldn't have done everything this

Hayden's Batman Cake

Would you believe my kids are all sick!!! One after the other even Thomas was sick - although I had to force him to spend the day in bed!!!

I made this cake for him for his party with our family and it went to waste!   Couldn't have family over, couldn't have cake, couldn't celebrate!  Hayden thought it looked great though!

Hayden's School Birthday Cupcakes

Hayden LOVES Batman!  Here are the cupcakes I made for Hayden to take to school and share with his class mates.

Valentines Day

My sister Lyndel wanted me to make some Red Velvet cupcakes - which was fine by me because I've been wanting to try them out!

I LOVE red velvet!!! It's such a unique wonderful taste it's hard to describe exactly what it tastes like.   When somebody asked me I said - " its hard to actually determine a flavour - because of the cocoa they are a little chocolaty but then there are other flavours in there - lets just say they taste like velvet! hehe"
didn't have a heart cookie cutter so they are hand cut -
which is why the edges are a bit rough :-S

with cream cheese frosting

More Animal Cupcakes

I couldn't work with Junita today as she's not well but I really wanted to make some more animals.  I had very limited tools at this stage but I was really happy with how they turned out.

Panda, Lion, Pig & Bear
Koala, Dog, Rabbit & Elephant.

Snowflake Cupcakes

I had seen snowflake cupcakes a few times while looking at different pictures and I fell in love with them instantly!!!

I think it's just because of the simpleness of the design and also the contrast of colours that both stand out in their own way.  oh and I love blue!!!

a touch of glitter really sets it off!
and dragonflies... These also popped out at me!

Cupcakes

I stared to working with a friend who also loves to decorate cakes & cupcakes, she has however been decorating longer than me so I now go over there every tuesday to decorate and learn.

My first ones I wanted to try were animal cupcakes - I thought this would be fun to surprise the kids with!

Froggy
Cow
monkey *with missing ears*
and I even had enough time to make some beautiful butterflies:-

I had a lot of fun with Junita and can't wait to make some more!
